I know, Monster Mondays have been absent for a long while. After we revealed Nemesis Prime at the start of this summer, the team transitioned pretty heavily towards finishing Kaijuland Battles for Early Access. But we’re now in-progress with out SPN1 winners, and we have the live collaboration character (Keelhorn) from G-Fest back in July to reveal. So we’ve got three Monster Mondays scheduled, for September 22nd, 29th, and October 5th. The long-term schedule is to have 20-22 Monster Mondays each year – we’re still experimenting with the best schedule for production. But be certain to check out the wiki this Monday.
Of course there have been lots of work on the title as well. Find the patch thread here.

SPN4 Updates – CKC is going CCG!
SPN4 cards are in development already. SPN4 cards are set to release in December 2014, but we’re planning to do things a bit differently… Beginning with SPN4, we’re taking things in a whole new direction – a full-on CCG (Collectible Card Game, like Magic:TG, Pokemon, etc.) Now packs of cards will contain both characters AND combat cards – as well as Ultra-rare cards like Rage Attacks, EVO characters, etc.
To play the CCG, you’ll need to assemble a “Team” of kaiju, according to the rules on one of the Roster cards. For example – the “Global Defense Force” Roster card might read: “Select any number of MECH kaiju with total Fortitude less than 20, and total Ferocity less than 18.” In addition to selecting your team, you’ll then need to build a Combat Deck of at least 20 cards – using any cards you like from your collection.
Each character will need their own Roster card, Team, and Combat Deck. But the game now supports 2-4 players in a really organic way. We hope you’ll all enjoy playing it! Watch the store for the cards to go on sale.
